We believe businesses should be able to accept instant bank payments without complicated pricing, expensive hardware or unnecessary friction. By using Pay by Bank and Open Banking technology, we help businesses receive payments directly into their bank account through a checkout experience that is fast, secure and familiar to customers.

Our story began in 2016 with the launch of Wonderful.org, a fundraising platform created with a simple goal: to ensure every penny donated reaches the charity it was intended for. Today, thousands of UK charities, donors and fundraisers use the platform to run fundraising campaigns, accept donations and support great causes, all the while retaining 100% of every donation.

As Open Banking transformed the way money could move, we saw an opportunity to apply the same thinking to business payments. That led to the launch of Wonderful Payments, bringing the speed and security of bank payments to businesses of every size, whether they are taking payments in person, online or through invoices.

As our platform has grown, so has our product family. Wonderful serves businesses, while Asima provides Open Banking infrastructure for fintechs, software platforms and enterprise customers building payment and data products. Together, they share the same goal: making modern bank payments easier to build, easier to use and more accessible.

We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as a Payment Institution, giving businesses confidence that they are working with a trusted UK payment provider.

We’re still building. New products, new capabilities and new ways to help businesses get paid continue to shape the future of Wonderful. But our mission remains exactly the same as it was from the beginning: creating better payment experiences that work for everyone.
